Maths Solution: 

$\begin{align}  & {{\log }_{2}}({{x}^{2}}-5x-10)=2 \\ & {{x}^{2}}-5x-10=4 \\ & {{x}^{2}}-5x-14=0 \\ & (x-7)(x+2)=0 \\ & x=7\text{ or }x=-2 \\\end{align}$
